  • Learning about sensory development, nutrition and packaging in Mexico City and Apodaca, Mexico

Created with a grant from the PepsiCo Foundation, the Junior Academy of the New York Academy of Sciences brings together STEM students, experts and companies to design innovative solutions to global challenges.  Through the Academy selected students from around the world spend several months completing online curricula and work with peers across the world to learn the basics of scientific research questions, methodologies used to generate and test hypotheses, and essential elements of experiment design and data analysis. Expert instructors drawn from the ranks of graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and STEM professionals provide guidance and structure to the students as they take on real-world challenges posed by corporate partners.
